Cleantech METRON Joins the 2025 Cohort of the French Tech 120 Program

June 3, 2025 - METRON, a French cleantech company specializing in digital energy performance solutions, joins the 2025 class of the French Tech 120 program. Led by the "Mission French Tech," this program recognizes the 120 most promising startups with high growth and impact potential in France and internationally. This is national recognition for the French cleantech, which is accelerating industrial decarbonization on a global scale.

French Tech 120 METRON

Launched in 2019 by Mission French Tech, the French Tech 120 program supports the development of the most promising French start-ups. Selected based on objective economic performance indicators such as revenue, growth, and fundraising, the winners receive personalized support to accelerate their growth in France and internationally. This program promotes products and services that have become essential to everyday life, particularly disruptive innovations that address major challenges such as the ecological transition, reindustrialization, and technological sovereignty.

Created in 2013, the METRON solution enables the collection, analysis, and optimization of industrial energy consumption around the world in real time. The goal is to establish energy governance within companies in order to reduce their carbon footprint and improve their energy resilience.

Now present in 30 countries, METRON quickly established itself through iconic collaborations with major groups around the world, such as Dalkia, Safran, and Arcelor Mittal. The cleantech, which is in the process of becoming a scale-up, has demonstrated over the past 10 years its ability to operate on an international scale thanks to dedicated local teams.

In 2022, METRON launched the European Decarb Fast Track program in partnership with Dalkia, BNP Paribas, and AWS (Amazon Web Services). This 100% private initiative, bringing together 61 industrial sites in eight countries, aims to break down investment barriers and accelerate industrial decarbonization by giving European manufacturers access to the METRON digital management solution.

METRON is also particularly active in Southeast Asia, where there is both a favorable environment for industrial development and strong momentum in terms of decarbonization. Reflecting this geographical footprint, Vincent Sciandra, CEO of METRON, recently accompanied French President Emmanuel Macron on his official visit to Vietnam and Indonesia from May 24th to 29th. This was an opportunity for the French start-up to showcase its expertise in energy optimization and promote French energy expertise.

Already recognized in the Green20 since 2021 and winner of the French Tech 2030 program in 2023, METRON has reached a new milestone reflecting its development with its inclusion in the 2025 French Tech 120 promotion, in the category of 80 companies with high growth potential.

Vincent Sciandra, CEO of METRON: "Joining the French Tech 120 is undeniable recognition of the work of our teams and the impact we are making in the field of energy performance and decarbonization. It confirms the usefulness of our mission: to help manufacturers in France and more than 30 other countries take control of their energy trajectory and sustainably reduce their carbon footprint through energy data analysis. Being supported by the French Tech ecosystem strengthens our ability to address our customers' energy challenges on a global scale and to promote French expertise in energy efficiency."
