TVOP: A Model Site for Energy Transition
In 2023, PTT entered into collaboration with METRON Asia Pacific to bring the EMOS platform to Thailand’s industrial market. This marked a major milestone in adapting global technology to meet the local energy challenges and sustainability ambitions of Thai manufacturers.
The first EMOS deployments began in the food & beverage and steel industries, setting a new benchmark for smart energy management in Thailand.
As an ISO 50001 compliant company, Thanakorn Vegetable Oil Products Co., Ltd. (TVOP) became one of the first organizations to sign a 3 year agreement with PTT and METRON to implement EMOS across its facility, aiming to improve energy efficiency and drive digital transformation in operations.
The initial phase involved building a digitalization roadmap to assess the plant’s readiness and define a tailored data integration strategy for EMOS deployment. Next came the activation of real-time monitoring and deeper analytics, aligning with rising environmental expectations and helping reduce energy costs, by up to 3 %.
This approach not only enables TVOP to achieve ongoing energy savings, but also builds trust with partners, employees, and environmentally conscious consumers through its commitment to ESG principles.
