Paris, May 26th, 2025 - METRON, a French cleantech specializing in digital energy efficiency solutions, has been selected to accompany French President Emmanuel Macron's official delegation on a tour of Southeast Asia from May 24th to 29th. An opportunity for the French start-up to showcase its expertise in energy optimization.
With stops in Indonesia and Vietnam, the trip is part of a strategic drive to strengthen economic ties between France and this key region, particularly around the issues of energy transition and critical metals. For METRON, already firmly established in Asia since 2018, this official mission represents a strong lever to accelerate its international development.
Already present in over 30 countries, including Singapore, Japan, Malaysia and South Korea, METRON very quickly established itself as a strategic player in optimizing energy consumption and reducing the carbon footprint of industrial companies. With emblematic collaborations with major groups in Southeast Asia, such as Fujitsu (Japan) and PTT (Thailand), the Cleantech company, which is in the process of becoming a scale-up, has demonstrated over the last 10 years its ability to operate on the scale of major international groups, with dedicated local teams. This is particularly the case in Southeast Asia, a highly industrialized and historically carbon-intensive region, where there is a real willingness on the part of political and economic players to align practices with international climate objectives, and accelerate local industrial decarbonization.
Founded in 2013, METRON's mission is to accelerate the decarbonization of industry through its innovative digital solutions. Its energy management and optimization platform enables industrial sites to optimize their energy performance in real time, while reducing their greenhouse gas emissions. Winner of the French Tech 2030 program, and twice ranked among the Green20, METRON embodies a new generation of French greentech companies with the ambition of European leadership in the global energy transition.
